ABOUT THE LEVEL

Skillful Teaching Integration Training

Knowing Pilates and teaching Pilates are two different skills. Learning the repertoire gives you the foundation, but teaching requires the ability to understand the person in front of you, make decisions in the moment, and adapt what you know to different bodies and needs.

Skillful Teaching Integration is designed for qualified instructors who want to become more confident and capable teachers. It helps bridge the gap between knowing the exercises and knowing how to use them effectively in real teaching situations.

The focus is not on learning more repertoire, but on developing a clearer understanding of movement, better teaching instincts, stronger communication, and greater confidence when working with different clients.

How the Integration Level Works

Start with the intensive course, then receive automatic certificate.

Skillful Teaching Integration Training

Throughout the training, you will learn how to observe movement accurately, identify patterns and imbalances, give clear and effective cues, and correct clients with confidence.

You will also learn how to structure sessions that are logical and progressive, adapt exercises to different levels and needs, and work with common postural and movement-related conditions.

The training is highly practical, with teaching exercises, case studies, hands-on guidance, and direct feedback from Patricia throughout the course.

No exam required

Swiss Pilates Integration Instructor Certificate

Scope of practice: Teaching with structured responsibility and growing professional autonomy.

Everything You Need to Know

The training is designed for qualified Pilates instructors who want to become more confident and effective teachers. It is particularly valuable for newly qualified instructors and those in the early years of teaching who want to improve how they observe movement, communicate, adapt exercises, and work with different clients.

The Foundational Level focuses on learning the complete Pilates system, repertoire, and major apparatus. The Integration Level goes beyond learning exercises and focuses on how to teach — reading movement, improving cueing and corrections, adapting exercises, structuring sessions, and working more confidently with different client needs.

You should already hold a recognised Pilates qualification in at least Matwork and Reformer and have a good foundational understanding of the Pilates method.

Yes. You do not need to be a Swiss Pilates Institute graduate. The training is open to qualified Pilates instructors from other schools who meet the entry requirements.

You will learn how to observe movement more clearly, identify alignment and movement patterns, improve your cueing and corrections, create better structured sessions, use hands-on guidance effectively, and adapt exercises to different clients and needs.

The focus is on becoming a more confident and adaptable teacher rather than simply learning more exercises.

The training explores practical teaching considerations for common conditions and movement challenges, including back pain, scoliosis, kyphosis, hyperlordosis, asymmetry, and stiffness. Prenatal and postnatal considerations are also included.

The focus is on learning how to adapt Pilates safely and appropriately as an instructor, rather than diagnosing or treating medical conditions.

Yes. Practical teaching is an important part of the training. You will work through teaching scenarios, case studies, movement analysis, and supervised practice while receiving direct feedback on your observation, cueing, corrections, session structure, and teaching approach.

There is no formal written or practical exam. Your learning takes place throughout the training through practical teaching, case studies, supervised feedback, and active participation.

Yes. Upon successful completion of the training and full participation in the programme, you will receive the Swiss Pilates Integration Instructor Certificate.
